Twenty boats belonging to the TP52 class from 14 different countries will race in the Sardinian town of Cagliari, 
one of the venues for this year’s circuit together with Alicante, Marseille, Palma, Cartagena and Portimão.Now at its fourth edition, the Audi Med Cup, comprising numerous regattas and different race courses, will dock in the most enchanting ports and seas throughout the Mediterranean. The competition has gained considerable importance due to the elevated number of participants present at previous editions, including King Juan Carlos of Spain, skippering on Bribon, and multibillionaire Larry Ellison, leader of the America’s Cup Bmw Oracle team.
The Cagliari event will enjoy the participation of extremely skilled sailors such as Russell Coutts, hired by Ellison as helmsman for the Bmw Oracle, and Paul Cayard, the cherished skipper of the Moro di Venezia who now races with Desafio, the Spanish yacht racing for the America’s Cup. The only Italian participant will be Riccardo Simoneschi racing for the Audi Sailing Team.
