Invitations for the tenth edition of the Organ Gala to be held on March 1st in the Municipal Theatre in Cagliari are available from T Hotel.With a donation of ten euros you may book your tickets (for info ricevimento@thotel.it tel.: 07047400) for the tenth edition of this musical event considered the epitome of events created and organised by the Cdmi Music School association directed by Antonello Mura. Originally devised as a concert portraying the Electone Organ as the main actor, the event has been gradually extended to include numerous musical situations and performances. The public has greatly appreciated the results thus achieved and today the Organ Gala is featured as one of the best loved, awaited for and extolled musical events held in Cagliari.
With its varied programme, the event combines different musical styles with dancing, lighting and images in a peculiar mix providing ample space for the valorisation of youngsters and of Sardinian artistes, allowing them to form part of a important international cast.
A further focal point of the Organ Gala is the merging of music and solidarity: this event has enabled the donation of considerable sums to the Langione Foundation for Thalassaemia in Sassari, the Mondo X Community led by Father Salvatore Morittu, to the Italian Cancer League and other voluntary associations operating in Sardinia.
Entrance to the present edition will be by invitation only following the donating of a contribution to the “Lions Hospice” in the Businco Hospital in Cagliari.
A CD of the Organ Gala 2005 to be collected together with the tickets will be given to all couples attending the event.
The event will see the participation of numerous artistes, including:
“Antonio Cardia and Gianluca Cogoni, Marco Meloni, Enrico Piredda, the Paola Puggioni and Battista Giordano duet, Daniela Mura, Cordas & Cannas, The Ballet Corps directed by Assunta Pittaluga, Enrico di Maira and the Youth Choir of Cagliari Municipal Theatre and Clorinda Perfetto, and finally, special guest, the swiss George Fleury.”
