Great yachting in Cagliari with regattas linked to the Sandalion Cagliari Cup 2008.
Vincenzo Onorato and Mascalzone Latino will act as testimonial for this third edition. From Friday to Sunday, keynote sailing crews will race day and night, both on a professional and an amateur basis, whilst Cagliari provides entertainment, music and above all, sea.
Mascalzone Latino, the boat that took part in the last edition of the America’s Cup in the waters of the Spanish town of Valencia, will be located at the heart of the Regatta Village. A unique opportunity to glimpse its secrets, and meet the team President Vincenzo Onorato with some of the crew members. An exceptional introduction to the world of sailing, to once again experience the sensations of the Spanish challenge on a maxi screen.
The Regatta Village will be set up in the Cagliari port area, on the Sanita Wharf situated in the vicinity of via Roma, an evocative natural and architectural backdrop for this important international yachting event.
Yachts will be moored on the quays adjacent to the Village, providing all necessary services and facilities. In an area of approximately 4.500 m2 with a stage for live TV shows, press room, food court, etc., more than 40 marquees will be erected to house the numerous side events and act as headquarters for the main sponsors.
